“Donnovan.” One of the maids of the Heir’s mansion approached him. She was wearing something of a small dress, her hair pulled back to indicate that she worked for an heir, rather than a lowly bloodling. “Sir, the King requests your presence at the Royal Engagement, this evening.” She silently awaited his answer.
The man sat with his arms and legs crossed. He looked as if he had been in deep thought; though when it came to his personallity, he had always looked that way. His long straight hair, stretched down below his waste, with slight waves at the tips. He wore a light blue blazer with long white pants. His white undershirt was slightly parted at the collar and the eye-glasses he wore were glazed to dim his beautiful blue-grey eyes. Whilst he was a beauty among the other heir, it was a hard life for him, right now. He was the only heir of the seven families that had not been married yet. The King has always wanted him to marry one of the new maidens in the family, but he has almost always refused. There was nothing more he’d have liked, than to have a wife of his very own, but he did not want to be betrothed any longer. The girl he’d been engaged to a few years ago had not been the right one that suited his nature. So, he left her.
“Vielen dank, Missy.” He spoke, looking up from his position on the couch. So; the King wishes for me to attend yet another engagement? Surely that must mean he has some sort of plan to introduce me to another of his aging daughters. That man.. I know he means well, but this is ridiculous. He stood as fluently as his body allowed it, and looked toward the doors. “Prepare my car. I will drive, tonight.”
“Of course, sir!” The young maid hurried off to do as she was told.
Donnovan let a small smile slip from his lips. “This should be fun.”
